Winter 2022 Book Discussion Series-"A Hard Case of Crime: Pulp Fiction by Popular Authors."

We'll be discussing Stephen King's The Colorado Kid.

Asked to write a blurb for Hard Case Crime, King instead contributed a novel to the nascent publisher, the first of three so far. On an island off the coast of Maine, a man is found dead with no ID on his body. Only the determined work of a pair of newspapermen and a graduate student in forensics turns up any clues; but, it's more than a year before the man is identified. And that's just the beginning of the mystery. Because the more they learn about the man and the baffling circumstances of his death, the less they understand. Was it an impossible crime? Or something stranger still . . . ?
